Under 9s Cricket and Under 11s

Heytesbury & Sutton Veny CC runs one of the most successful Under 9s and Under 11s Cricket programme in Wiltshire. Over the last ten years more than 200 young people have passed through the programme, with many going on to represent both County and District here in Wiltshire and in other Counties.

The tailored Under 9s Cricket course is for children aged 7-9 years who have either graduated from All Stars Cricket, played some cricket at school or who have never played cricket. The sessions will run alongside our normal youth coaching sessions for our members that commence in the Spring. The Under 9s Cricket programme will commence in Heytesbury Park (BA12 0ED) on Sunday 2nd May from 10.00 am through to 11.30am and continue every Sunday until the school holidays in July. If you are completely new to cricket and wish to sign up for these coaching sessions please call Justin Wagstaff 07876 456260

The Under 9s Cricket aims to provide children aged seven to nine with a great first experience in game and match based cricket. The programme delivered by HSVCC’s ECB qualified, DBS cleared coaches, is a fun and active way to develop your child’s skills and most importantly put these into match situations. Throughout our summer they will take part in various inter-club Festivals held throughout the County, learn lots, as well as make new friends, in a safe and inclusive environment.

Putting fun right at the centre of this experience, Under 9s Cricket and HSVCC aims to give children and parents/carers a lifelong love of cricket. We want today’s young people to remain in cricket for the long term, whether this is as a player, volunteer, official or spectator and most importantly gain the benefits of exercising in the outdoors.
